The Central Election Commission has given green signal to change the name of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The CEC has sent a letter to the party president Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao changing the name of the party to BRS. It is known that CM KCR had passed a resolution in the wide-scale meeting of the party held at Telangana Bhawan on October 5, changing the name of TRS to Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Along with a copy of this resolution, they have sent a letter to the CEC requesting that the process of changing the name of their party be completed as soon as possible. On the change of name of the party, many letters were written from the CEC seeking clarity on many issues and the party replied to them. Satisfied with them, the CEC took a decision to change the name of the party.
