New Delhi: National Medical Commission will revoke the recognition of around 150 medical colleges in the country. This commission, which regulates medical colleges, cancels the recognition of the colleges if they do not have proper facilities and do not follow the norms. Already 40 medical colleges have lost their recognition. These colleges have to prove before the commission that they are following the norms as per the norms.

The list includes Gujarat, Assam, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. There are colleges in the states of Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura and West Bengal. The Board of Undergraduate Medical Education, which belongs to the commission, identified the errors after a month-long investigation.
