Mana Telangana/Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to give 30 percent of the profits of the Singareni Colliery Company for the year 2021-2022 to the employees of the company as a Dussehra gift. To this extent, CM Principal Secretary Narsinga Rao has issued an order to the Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni to pay the special incentive announced by the CM to Singareni workers immediately before Dussehra. As part, eligible workers will get Rs. 368 crore rupees will be paid by the Singareni company.

Payments on 1st October

Singareni CMD N. Sridhar expressed special thanks on behalf of the workers to Chief Minister KCR who announced a 30 percent share of profits to Singareni workers as Dussehra gift, increasing by one percent from last year. He explained that the workers will receive Rs 368 crore as profit share this year. He announced that the profit share will be paid to around 44 thousand employees on October 1 (Saturday). He said that Singareni is always ahead in the welfare of workers. In 202122, Singareni Company has achieved a record turnover of Rs.26,607 crores. He said that the company has earned a profit of Rs.1,722 crore on the total turnover. Singareni said the net profit of Rs 1,227 crore (after taxes) on the turnover achieved through the sale of coal and electricity.

Also, last year in the form of taxes, the central and state governments received Rs. He disclosed that 3,596 crores has been paid. In 2021-22, 650 lakh tonnes of coal was produced and 655 lakh tonnes were transported. He explained that 8,808 million units of electricity have been supplied to the grid through Singareni Thermal Power Station. He also said that everyone should re-organize and work towards the production target of 70 million tonnes this year, so that a record level of turnover and profit can be achieved and there will be an opportunity to undertake more welfare programs.

Profits increased to 193 percent

The company, which produced 504 lakh tonnes of coal in 2013-14 in the combined AP, will produce 650 lakh tonnes of coal by 2021-22, a growth of 29 per cent. The company transported 479 lakh tonnes of coal in 2013-14, increasing by 37 per cent to 655 lakh tonnes by 2021-22. The sales of Rs.11,928 crore in 201314 reached Rs.26,607 crore last year with a growth of 123 percent. Along with profits, the maximum has increased to 193 percent. In 2013-14, it made a net profit of Rs 419 crore and by 2021-22, it has made a profit of Rs 1,227 crore.
