Hyderabad: State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Boinapally Vinod Kumar has clarified that Telangana State Government’s stance on the implementation of SC classification is clear and that a resolution was passed in the state assembly meeting to implement SC classification and a report was sent to the central government a few years ago. On the occasion of Manda Krishna Madiga being implicated in a case pending in the Supreme Court, while the Supreme Court issued notices to the Center and several states, the founder of MMRPS, Manda Krishna Madiga, met with Vinod Kumar at the minister’s residence premises on Wednesday after the Telangana state received the notice.

Vinod Kumar stated that Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhara Rao has clearly stated his position on the SC classification in terms of the government and in the assembly legislative forum. He added that the state government’s position is that SC classification should be done.

Cut off marks in police exams should be reduced

Several candidates under the leadership of MMRPF founder Mandakrishna Madiga submitted a petition to State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Boinapally Vinod Kumar at the Minister’s residence on Wednesday, seeking to reduce the cutoff marks for SC and ST candidates in Police SI and Constable examinations. They asked Vinod Kumar to further reduce the current cutoff of 60 marks and ensure that the cutoff is lower than other categories. Vinod Kumar told them that he will take this matter to the attention of the Chief Minister.
