Mana Telangana/Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has refused to grant a stay on the Group 1 prelims exam to be held on June 11 next month. The Telangana Public Service Commission- (TSPSC) on Thursday heard a petition filed in the High Court seeking postponement of the Group 1 prelims scheduled to be held on June 11. But on Thursday morning, the writ petition came before the High Court bench comprising Justice K. Laxman. Meanwhile, Justice K. Laxman stated that he could not hear the petition as his daughter had also written the Group 1 prelims exams. He explained that the petition will be sent to another bench in the afternoon.

After lunch, the petition was heard before the bench of Justice Pulla Karthik. The High Court refused to grant a stay on the Group 1 Prelims exam. 36 candidates filed a petition claiming that TSPSC’s issuance of notification for Group-1 Prelims examination without enforcing the provision of 2 months between respective examinations when issuing different notifications for different posts is illegal. The High Court has issued notices to the TSPSC Chairman, Secretary, Home Secretary and SIT to give an explanation on the matter. The High Court adjourned the further hearing for another four weeks.
