Hyderabad: We are encouraging sportspersons by constructing sports grounds in every constituency, said V Srinivas Goud, Minister of State for Excise, Sports, Tourism and Culture. The Hyderabad Open Sprint and Relay Athletics Championships-2021 kicked off on Sunday at the Gatchibauli Stadium in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that after the formation of Telangana state, with the initiative of CM KCR, a big platform was laid for the development of sports. It was revealed that priority is being given to constructing playgrounds in every constituency.
We are formulating the best sports policy in the country for the development of sports in the state. We offer incentives to players who excel nationally and internationally. The event was attended by Sports Chairman Allipuram Venkateswarareddy, State Athletics Association President Bikash Karr, President Chandraduth Joshi, Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Olympian Shobha, coaches and sports department officials.
