HYDERABAD: TPCC President, MP Revanth Reddy said that the farmers are crying because of the flood of investment. Revanth Reddy spoke to the media in Kamareddy. PCC president Revanth Reddy has written an open letter to CM KCR. It is mentioned in the letter that the farmers who have lost due to rains should be supported. He expressed grief that thousands of acres of mango plantations have been damaged and tomato, onion and chilli farmers have also suffered a lot. He said that they are playing politics without caring about the farmers.

He questioned why no announcement was made by the government on crop loss. He said that due to the price of petrol and diesel, the cost of cultivation has increased. Revanth expressed his anger that in the past, when there was a crop loss, central state teams would visit and assess the crop loss and grant funds, but now there is no crop insurance scheme in Telangana. They demanded an immediate assessment of crop losses and announcement of compensation. On behalf of the farmers, they requested to give 15 thousand rupees per acre to the affected farmers. He asked for immediate implementation of crop insurance scheme in Telangana. The loan waiver of one lakh rupees to the farmers should be completed immediately.
