HYDERABAD: TS UTF has demanded to give equal pay to contract employees for equal work and basic pay to KGBV, URS and General Punishment employees as per the judgment of the apex court Supreme Court. Chalo SPD office held under the auspices of the state committee on Thursday became tense. Despite the heavy rain, a large number of female employees blockaded the DSE office for five hours. The employees expressed their grievances that despite working for twenty years and achieving the best results at par with the Gurukuls, they are not being paid for their hard work.

On this occasion, MLC Alugubelli Narsireddy was present and expressed solidarity and demanded to give minimum wages to KGBV, URS and comprehensive punishment employees, provide job security and regularize services. Later, TS UTF state president K Jangaiah and general secretary Chava Ravi said that despite several petitions and agitations to ministers and officials, there was no result, so the situation of DSE siege was inevitable. He demanded that all the issues be resolved promptly as they are fair.

On this occasion, a delegation headed by MLC Narsireddy went to the secretariat and submitted petitions along with Education Secretary Vakati Karuna and Government Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari. He said that he will discuss with the officials of the education department and try to solve the problems. He said that he will give time for discussions once again as soon as possible. CS Shantikumari will bring proposals from the education department officials and consider them.
