The CM ordered the irrigation authorities to take a break for a few days in the release of water for irrigation during these rainy days.

Inquire about water reserves
CM KCR inquired about the current water reserves in the reservoirs and the requirements of Mission Bhagiratha from the concerned authorities. In the first week of July, the CM ordered to review the rainfall, water storage in the reservoirs and take appropriate decisions according to the situation. The CM inquired about the water storage details in the reservoirs under Kaleswaram. At present, the Ranganayak Sagar reservoir has only 0.69 TMC of 3 TMC of water, and the engineers said that two TMC of Ranganayak Sagar water will be diverted in mid-12th.
The CM ordered the officials to immediately remove from the reservoir. He said that under the Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir, Ayakattu will be able to irrigate the crop during the monsoon season.

Engineers have indicated that the current 4.95 TMC water reserves in the Nizamsagar reservoir will be sufficient for 3 dams till the end of August, after which 5 TMCs will be required for another three dams. For this, the meeting decided to shift 5 TMC to Nizam Sagar via Kondapochamma Sagar in August. In the month of August itself, it was decided to take 30 to 35 TMC of water through the Kaleshwaram project through the Sriramsagar revival scheme after reviewing the water reserves in the Sriramsagar project. It has been decided to fill 10 more TMCs in Mallannasagar this year. After the rainy season ends and the inflow into the reservoirs stops, there is a significant flow in the Godavari rivers at Kaleswaram in the months of October and November.

It was decided in the meeting to lift the water for the needs of the second crop and store it in the reservoirs of Ellampalli, Sriramsagar, Mid Maneru, Lower Maneru, Annapurna, Ranganayak Sagar, Mallanna Sagar and Kondapochamma Sagar to a sufficient level. For this, the CM directed the irrigation officials to prepare an operation manual on how many pumps should be turned on at what time.
