Hyderabad: Minister Harish Rao responded to Governor Tamil Sy’s tweet on Osmania Hospital. Governor Tamili Sai’s comments are unfortunate and reminded that Chief Minister KCR was the first to react on Osmania Hospital. He said that CM KCR had visited the hospital in July 2015 and had just announced Rs.200 crores for the construction of the new building. On August 5th, some people went to the court and got a stay.
He said that the expert committee formed by the government had also given a report that the building was unfit for running the hospital, and as per the orders of the court, an independent committee was formed with the experts of IIT Hyderabad and the director of the archaeological department, and they also made it clear that the building was unfit for running the hospital. He said that the government had also told the court the same thing and it was expected that a positive decision would come from the court.

It is a sad thing that the governor put all these things aside and made politically muddled comments as if he had plucked feathers from the chicken’s egg and searched with a magnifying glass. The state government has organized Kanti Velam program to the amazement of the world. In 100 days, 1.62 crore people were examined and spectacles were distributed to 45 lakh people. Harish Rao questioned why she did not have the heart to appreciate the program or the staff involved in it. We have increased the number of beds in NIMS hospital from 900 to 1500. We are expanding with 2000 new beds. Duyyabatta said that he did not make at least one tweet on this. We implemented programs like KCR Kit KCR Nutrition Kit, increased facilities in government hospitals and reduced maternal and child deaths to 43. We have increased the deliveries from 30 per cent to 70 per cent in government courts. Compared to 2014, the scene has reversed. Harish Rao asks why she did not see any of this.

Harish Rao said that the Center has said that Telangana is the only state in the country where 100% hospital deliveries are taking place, but why they don’t appreciate it. A medical college for the district is a history in the country, why would the governor not respond to the fact that CM KCR had established 21 colleges in 9 years when one medical college was established in the past 20 years.

We stand first in the country with 22 MBBS seats per lakh population. As a doctor, at least in this matter, the governor should be congratulated, right? If we are praised, we will work enthusiastically, right? asked. Harish Rao said that it is not good to act as if good is not seen, good is not heard and good is not spoken. Is it not seen that the number of dialysis centers has increased from three to 102 and has reached the third position in the Niti Aayog ranking? He asked. Gandhi, Nims and Osmania are doing organ transplants for the poor without spending a single rupee, and why they don’t speak a single word appreciating them to boost the morale of the doctors.

NITI Aayog has also praised Basti Davakhanas, and with the establishment of these, the pressure on big hospitals like Gandhi Osmania, Nims and Fever Hospital has been reduced. Governor Tamili Sai, who holds the constitutional post, expressed his anger that political criticism on behalf of BJP was unfortunate.

He said that a review was conducted especially with the DMHOs of all the districts on the control of diseases in the background of the rainy season, and the diseases caused by contaminated water have almost reduced with Mission Bhagiratha. He directed the medical officials of all districts to focus mainly on the control of insect-borne diseases, which have already reduced to a large extent through rural and urban progress, and suggested that measures should be taken in the districts where diseases are still being registered. Harish Rao said that 8 lakh rapid kits for malaria detection have already been sent to all PHCs and 1.23 lakh ELISA kits for dengue detection have been distributed. He reminded that blood component machines are available in 26 hospitals and the Telangana Medical Council portal has been launched to facilitate the registration renewal process of doctors in the state.
