Hyderabad: BRS activists and leaders, including BRS party MLC Kavitha, protested in Hyderabad against Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy’s announcement on 24-hour free electricity and fresh water supply to farmers. Kavitha said that farmers can live happily only when enough electricity is available for the farms. In protest against Revanth Reddy’s remarks, Kavitha BRS organized a dharna at the city’s power station. Party leaders and corporators participated in this program and expressed their opposition to Revanth Reddy and the Congress party. Later, the effigy of Revanth Reddy was burnt.
Speaking on this occasion, Kavitha mentioned that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is providing quality electricity to farmers and water from Kaleshwaram project. She stated that Rythubandhu scheme being implemented in Telangana state is unique in the country. Based on Revanth Reddy’s comments, she opined that the Congress party’s announcement of Rythu is fake.
“Does Revanth Reddy have the courage to say that the Congress party, which has been in power in the country for 60 years, has caused problems to the farmers during their rule.. Why are they unable to provide 24 hours electricity to the farmers?” She demanded. Revanth wants to apologize immediately. Kavitha expressed anger that Congress leaders will not be allowed to visit the villages until Revanth Reddy apologizes.
