It is learned that CM KCR has announced financial assistance to the families of 750 farmers who died in the fight against agricultural laws. What actually happened
Reacting to Prime Minister Modi’s recent decision to repeal the new cultivation laws, CM KCR said it was made possible by the struggle of farmers’ unions. KCR said that hundreds of farmers had sacrificed their lives in the fight against cultivation laws, and that the Government of India should support the families of the victims who were suffering from stress and poor health. KCR announced that Rs 3 lakh would be provided on behalf of the state government to the families of farmers who died due to the farmer movement. It will cost Rs 22.5 crore, he said.
