Mana Telangana/Hyderabad: JAC representatives of employment guarantee employees working in the employment guarantee scheme appealed to Minister Harish Rao to apply the pay scale to the employment guarantee employees. Honorary President, Narsampeta MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy along with JAC representatives of employees met Minister Harish Rao at his residence in Hyderabad and submitted the petition to this effect. It was explained to the minister that since the commencement of the employment guarantee scheme, the employees have been passing the time with adequate wages. He said that the work and talent of the employment guarantee employees is also hidden in our state standing as number one in the country. He asked them to apply a pay scale and implement it if they are to get wages commensurate with their work. He appealed to the Minister to think appropriately and convince the Chief Minister. Minister Harish Rao responded to this and promised to take it to the notice of Chief Minister KCR.

Among those who met Minister Harish Rao were State JAC Chairman A. Lingaiah, Co Chairman Anji Reddy, Vijay Venkatarami Reddy, Mohan Rao, Raghu and District JAC Chairman. Meanwhile, 3,874 employment guarantee employees across the state have formed JAC for the pay scale. They want to be given pay scale like serp jobs. Letters of support have already been collected from the Chairman of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, 62 MLCs, MLAs, four MPs and two Chairpersons of the Women’s Commission.
